AM : Your previous label, Arise, did close, how did you live this event, than how about your quest of a new label and the deal with Scarlet Records ?

Dani : Well..the truth is that it was a hard blow for us, we had no record label and it´s always complicated. We contacted several companies and ultimately Scarlet was the best for us. Scarlet are very satisfied with the band and the new album too.

AM : Tell us all about the new album, of a musical point of view : how about its composition, the evolution of your sound ? I think you took the best of power and symphonic metal, even with some touches of gothic/extreme (some grunt vocals or very powerful riffs, for example)…

Dani : We think of doing an album more hardly, with symphonic touches, power touches and sounds very near to the death metal, without forgetting the sound that always to characterized Dark Moor. The composition was like in all the previous works, the same dynamics of work, which I believe that it is the best for us.

AM : About the recording sessions then, was it an easy ride, as the album is very complex ? I think the arrangements are very strong, who did these arrangements and how ?

Dani : The orchestral arrangements are done by Enrik Garcia. All the albums are difficult to record, each one has his feeling. Tarot especially tape-worm that to sound more maturely and compact that all. I think that the arrangements are like that for that the songs ask for it. Probably on this album has given more priority to the orchestra, but because the songs ask for it, is like that...

AM : How did you get the idea to work with Manda Ophuis, singer of Nemesea, how did you get in contact and how about your collaboration ?

Dani : Enrik listened Manda’s singing in her myspace, then he asked us that was her collaboration and we believe that serious a great idea that she was singing. We had contact with her and been charmed with. For Manda it’s been an honor to be able to sing in Tarot. We are very satisfied with the result, Manda is a great vocalist.

AM : As the title says, your album is a concept about Tarot, why did you choose this concept, do you believe in Tarot or use it in your life ?

Dani : The Tarot is a good theme to do. Everything that it surrounds to Dark Moor is magic, history, poetry. ..why not to do something on the Tarot?. We elected the arcanes, we composed the themes and we write some lyrics for each card. ..this begin all!!.

AM : You took 11 major arcanes of the Tarot out of 22, does it mean we can expect a second album with the 11 others ? How did you choose the 11, did you select them then wrote the music of did you select them because they were adapted to the music you had done ?

Dani : I believe that only goes to be a part. We have not considered to do the Tarot's second part, it is prompt still... On since we choose the arcanes already explain it to you in the previous question...

AM : The artwork is very nice too, who did this and why him ?

Dani : The cover did it Derek Gores. He did the cover of Beyond the sea, the previous work. We contacted with him because he is a great illustrator and he likes the band too.

AM : Do you plan tour, festivals this year ?

Dani : Of course, we like to play in all the possible festivals and to do a great tour, but it goes his time, you know? ... We have many plans but until they do not make real we will not say anything. At the moment we are going to play in Spain a few shows for which on the previous album we do not play scarcely in our country.

AM : Our last, ritual question : ask yourself a question, and give the answer.

- Ummm, serious really agreeable!, but at the moment we conform to the librettoes!
