AM : To begin, I'd like to know why you did create a new band and not resurrect Grip Inc., whose name was quite well established and known…

Waldemar : Grip is and should be Grip. As soon one of the real members isn't on board this band is not complete. Because Dave is back in Slayer there is no time for Grip. You never know the future but Enemy of the Sun is my new family.

AM : Since most of the bands you've worked for were signed on Century Media, I was surprised that you came on Massacre Records, how did you get the deal ?

Waldemar : Grip was on SPV, many other productions on different companies, in fact most of my productions i made for CM. Eyes of Eden is my comeback as a band to CM since 14 years. To sign with Enemy of the Sun on the same company wouldn't make sense to me. In this case CM has Eyes of Eden and Massacre Enemy.

AM : You have managed to find fantastic musicians, we know Alla from Eyes of Eden, but the Finnish singer is amazing and so is the drummer too, were did you meet them ?

Waldemar : I can call me luck to find such talented musicians. After "incorporated" the last CD of Grip many people wanted us to continue even without Dave, which was not my case. Among many drummers i did meet also Daniel who really amazed me. A friend of my have seen Jules live in Finland. She gave me the contact, we did meet and this band was complete. Without one single doubt those are the right people. This is a honour for me to play with this guys.

AM : You have written damn fine tunes and managed to bring a lot of freshness in the the genre, were did you find such an inspiration ?

Waldemar : In life. Life is giving my inspiration. Every day has a story, has a mood, has a emotional side. All this makes the sound of the heart/mind. The important thing is to find time to put all those ideas on tape/computer. When a day would be longer believe me, you will find every 2 month a record of me in the store.

AM : How are you going to handle 2 nice bands as Eyes of Eden and Enemy of the Sun and will you continue your production work ? Do you ever sleep ??? :)

Waldemar : If you want to reach something youŽll always find a way. Basically there is no big different to produce 2 albums in a year or to make 2 own albums. I don't start things when i wouldn't see a way of doing them right, i mean 100% right. I need music, it's harder to me not to spend time with it. I have no problem to make even more than 2 bands, i guess the public has more problems with it.

AM : What are your plans now ? Tour with one of both of your bands, composing, producting another band ?

Waldemar : Of course to do as much as possible but time has limits. To tour with both bands at the same time is for sure not possible but there will be many live shows and tours. Most important thing for me will be always to compose music. This is my home and the place nobody fucks around with me. There i am open to everything, there i close everything. By all activities in music, to compose is the heart of everything.

AM : As an icon in the metal, what do you think of today's metal scene and how do you see its evolution in the future ?

Waldemar : The evolution of music exists in every spirit of live. Man who makes music not for material issues just from the beats of his soul will make always music survive. Humanity without language is incapable of communication. You could say, animals also communicate, yes, but i call this also language as same as music.The only different is: Music is the most complete one of all.

Waldemar : Music without soul is like fire with no heat, like water with no waves, is like earth with no life.
